Development
Parachute modelling driven by vellum simulation and cloth physics in Houdini. Texturing with substance painter and shaded in Redshift.
Camera solve timing and flight path of the parachute, simulated and animated in Houdini
CGI integration involved to create a section view of the vehicle. This involved painting out the existing bulkhead wall, adding in a sky and some 3d geometry to match the roof. 3D camera solve and track was used to integrate the CGI
Additional shots worked on, smoke simulation for the doorway and ground smoke to interact with the furniture.
Dark clouds were integrated in this shot, initial concept to animate the clouds in a spiral motion. VFX compositing for the burnout from the wheelchair on the road. Cleanup and set extension was worked on the shot.
