HOYTS is a leading entertainment company that owns and operates cinemas across Australia and New Zealand. They are known for their premium cinema experiences, including features like reclining chairs, large screens, and dine-in options in their HOYTS LUX cinemas. HOYTS also offers accessibility features like audio description and closed captions

Before handing over the project to me, we investigated the initial setup and animatic. I was in charge of developing the entire project file from start to finish using Houdini and Redshift. Compositing was done in After Effects and finalized in Davinci Resolve for deliverables.

Classic Development



Careful consideration of how much red was used and how well it was broken up with the contrast of black areas. Added motion blur would later cause issues with the reds smearing with the black for a unfavorable look. The balance took with breaking up the tunnel with larger parts spaced further apart.

Exploration of the gold shader was later decided to change to platinum for more of a premium feel.
